Registration and Conference FAQ

There is no need to register in MyPD for Summer Institute. Attendance will be tracked electronically each day of summer institute. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded based on attendance gathered on site and uploaded to MyPD in July. Credit will be listed as INS SU14 2014 Summer Institute. This will be counted as content credit toward license renewal.
Modeling after national conferences, the conference staff will post “Session Full” signs outside the training room when the session is full.
Free parking is provided on the CPCC campus. Student Parking lot 1 is the lot closest to most of the buildings used for the CMS Summer Institute. You can access Student Parking lot 1 from Charlottetowne Ave between 4th Street and Elizabeth Ave.
Session participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own devices and access the CPCC guest network for WiFi. For presenters, each training room has a smart podium that operates a computer, an LCD projector, and sound. It is strongly suggested that presenters or trainers use the CPCC equipment. They can access their files through a cloud service such as Google Drive.
Summer Institute is invitational learning and no stipends will be provided. However, we will provide, free of charge, a special summer camp opportunity for the first 100 children of CMS teachers registered each day. The registration deadline is Friday, June 6th.
All sessions have a folder associated with them in Google Drive. You can access (view only) all of these folders and add them to your CMS Google Drive account. Some presenters may choose not to upload materials to this location.
